More Than a Hockey Game

For more than 80 years, Hinds Energy has been part of communities throughout the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania. We believe strong communities are built when people have opportunities to spend time together, make memories, and feel connected to where they live.
The Binghamton Black Bears provide exactly that kind of experience. In fact, the team welcomed nearly 150,000 fans last season, averaging more than 4,400 fans per game.

The Black Bears give families throughout Binghamton, Broome County, and the Southern Tier a place to come together for an evening of local entertainment. Their presence also helps keep professional sports, and the energy and activity surrounding them, right here in our community.

And there’s plenty to be excited about this year. The Black Bears enter the 2026–2027 season after winning their third consecutive Commissioner’s Cup championship, with their home opener scheduled for October 10 against the Watertown Wolves.
